The Pou brothers take on the first free ascent of La Tarragó (8b+/240m) on Montserrat, Spain. On a cold November day last year, Spanish climbers and mountaineers Eneko and Iker Pou added a new chapter to the history of climbing. The beautiful, otherworldly towers of Montserrat, Spain saw the first free ascent of the six-pitch route, La Tarragó.

Climbing at the end of the world - the deep-water soloing competition known as Red Bull Psicobloc, is a unique event held on the southern tip of Chile, in the isolated region of Patagonia. 

Deep-water soloing, also known as psicobloc, is rock climbing carried out directly over water and without safety harnesses, meaning just the slightest slip sends the climber tumbling into the sea below. Check out all the action from the full event clip!

In August 2012, The North Face® and Red Bull announced that the team of climbers led by Austrian Hansjörg Auer and Spain’s Iker & Eneko Pou fulfilled their dream: To write a new page in the history of climbing by discovering new walls and routes of incomparable beauty in 'Perfection Valley', one of the most inhospitable places on Earth until now only visited by scientists. They became the pioneer explorers and opened four new free climbing routes. One of them, 'The Door' graded 8b by the expedition members has officially become the most difficult climb of the Arctic.
